Fixed vs Growth Mindset When Job Searching

“I’ll just get rejected again” change to growth mindset of “If I improve my applications and remain consistent in applying for jobs I’m interested in, I’ll eventually be called in to interview.”

“I am not good at networking” change to a growth mindset of “I know networking improves my chances of getting hired. The more I believe in my ability and proactively network, the better I will become.”

“I don’t have all the experience required so they won’t bother considering my application” change to a growth mindset of “I demonstrate a host of soft skills and a teachable attitude so I am certain I can develop the necessary skills with training.”

“Maybe I’ll never get an offer” change to a growth mindset of ” I can ask the panel for feedback, put it into practice so i can do better next time, and become more resilient in the process.”
